With space at a premium and the earth's resources rapidly declining, CLM has addressed these issues by designing a compact living unit made from lightweight, cost-effective recyclable cardboard. This "quad-box" takes up a mere square meter but offers a workspace/desk, wardrobe, storage shelving and bedroom section-all in one.

This product is ideal for the low cost housing sector as well as the modern compact living conditions of the townhouse and sectional title sector.

Some more information on the the Xanita cardboard we use:
Xanita upcycles waste fibres from recycled cardboard boxes and sugar cane bagasse, transforming waste into volatile compound free boards weighing up to seven times less than medium density fibreboard (MDF) and particle board / chip board, boards which are commonly dumped as toxic landfill. Xanita’s X-Board Plus uses up to 75% less virgin wood fibre compared to solid MDF sheet. That’s because their engineered paper core is derived entirely from post-consumer, recycled paper waste.

Users of these products can fully repulp or partically recycle these cardboard boards.

Xanita’s X-Board is a lightweight, non-toxic fibre board that is made from recycled kraft paper and sugar cane bagasse waste. X-Board contains no harmful chemicals, polyethylene or waxes and is perfectly safe for your kid’s bedrooms or playrooms. X-Board can also be recycled after use, embracing the cradle-to-cradle ideal and encouraging a more sustainable environment. Although lightweight, X-Board is extremely durable with a high strength-to-weight ratio, meaning that your furniture will withstand the wear and tear associated with children!
